Shah Ismail from Persia, wanting to insult his Turkish rival, Sultan Selim, ordered that a beautiful box full of feces would be sent to him.
Receiving the smelly present, Selim told his advisers:
- Send my answer to the shah. Fill a box with the most delicious sweets you can find and send it to Persia.
Receiving the answer from the sultan, the shah opened the box full of sweets, which came with a note that said: "Each one offers what he eats!".
