Once Mullah Nasrudin heard about a party in the neighboring city. There was an open invitation for everyone. So he got there earlier, hoping to eat better.

But when they saw his clothes, they put him in a distant place. The best tables had a reservation for special guests, and the wait was for those guests.

Nasrudin noticed that it would take a long time for the food to arrive.

So Nasrudin decided to run back to his house and pick up the best clothes he had.

Now the reception was different. This time, the host himself went out to receive him and placed him next to a prince.

When the food arrived, Nasrudin started to rub some of it on his clothes. The guests were shocked by this behavior, but remained silent. After a while, the prince was unable to control himself and asked: "I cannot understand your gesture, your eminence".

Nasrudin said, "No way. When I first arrived, the food was not served for me. This food is served for these clothes, so I am feeding them."
